I was invited by Jacinta Fintan from The Wall Station to paint a typographic piece at the Hunter Multicultural Communities in Newcastle, expressing the word 'Diversity'. In my research I found two quotes that resonated so much with my definition of diversity - so much that I painted the literal elements of ‘hair’ and ‘grain’ into the mural. I would like to give a special thanks to Jacinta Fintan for not only this opportunity but also for her kindness and ongoing guidance and to Nick Fintan for his generous hospitality and being a brilliant assistant in painting this mural with me over 2 days.

'There is the sky, which is all men's together.' - Euripides
'There never were, in the world, two opinions alike, no more than two hairs, or two grains; the most universal quality is diversity.' - Michel de Montaigne
