SAFER CITIES: Her Way Project | Griffith City Council, Banna Lane Festival

Safer Cities: Her Way is a NSW Government initiative aimed at improving perceptions of safety for women, girls, and gender diverse people in public spaces, particularly around transport hubs. Delivered by Banna Lane Festival and Griffith City Council, the mural features views of Griffith rural landscapes from the viewpoint of heritage listed site, Hermit’s Cave. The flora included are native species that make up parts of the endangered Weeping Myall Woodland. Species include: Western rosewood (Alectryon oleifolius subsp. elongatus) and Poplar box (Eucalyptus populnea).
